ASSIGNMENT 5 - Tues, Feb. 24

SKETCHBOOK ASSIGNMENT:

Do some digging around in the yellow-pages and find 10 businesses that look like they need help and or look interesting. Select them out and write them down in your sketchbook along with their contact information. Next take five of those businesses and make a graphically designed layout in Illustrator with all the words that you would associate with that business. Please do this in fonts that somehow match with the theme or tone of this business. Similar to the feelings - range that was discussed in class. These five pages should be then printed on 8.5x11 and pasted into your sketchbook.

EX.
Gateway Tire - tires, rims, tread, black, rolling, car jack, bolts, screws, stranded, help, money, silver, etc. (then imagine this on a cool layout and repeat five times)

Remember to keep in mind the ideas of balance, symmetry, asymmetry, value, contrast, line, proximity, how your eye travels around the page and most importantly white space!
