For Wednesday

Hi guys,

Don't forget to take a photo of your labels and two boxes for your job folder (handmade ones). For Wednesday, please have your four boxes printed out and put together. Bring your bottle so you can try out the labels. Two of the versions should be the versions that you did by hand on the first set of roughs. Please make these as accurate (correct labels, think in the round). The other two versions need be in the opposite direction of the first drafts. If you went modern go vintage. If you went minimal go crazy. Have some fun with these. You would be surprised how the wacky and crazy might just push that product over the edge. Be sure to be referencing your thumbnails and your in store research to see how your product stands out next to others.

Don't forget about the AIGA cook out tonight at 5 pm. Bring a dessert / coke or chips to the Bowld grills tonight. Will still happen if raining will just make sure that we  are under the porch. Last shindig before next semester. Invite some freshman to come and eat with us as well. See you then!

Monday, May 6th

Hi Guys,

Hopefully the typography and illustrations samples that you saw in class today helped spark a few ideas. For Monday, please scan in your box use it as a template. Create two built boxes off the template. Draw your rough on the 3D box. (can do while flat as well...but need to bring in the built box.) For your bottle rough...please make two labels out of regular paper. Cut them out and bring your bottle. We will take a photo of the label taped onto your bottle for your job folder. Your two boxes will also be represented by a photo in your job folder. See you on Monday.

Don't forget the AIGA cookout on Monday! 5 pm at the Bowld grills. Bring a dessert / chips or drink. I'll provide buns, hotdogs, burgers and condiments. See you then!

Friday, May 3rd

FOR FRIDAY
Please have you thumbnails done and in your job folder with your research. Print off two pages of pictures of your aisle where your product is located to go with your 10 pages of research.

Have you box and bottle that you are going to use for the project to make a template out of. This is essential because we make roughs of the packages in 3D form for this project so please have this item so we can get a good start on next week's round of roughs.

Please put the photos that you took today into a document (again layout counts as bonus points). Label them and number to 22. Have this printed out and in hand at the start of class on Friday. If not printed out before 8 am will have a late grade attached to it.
